Had a bit of a run-in with a bollard in Stockton last night. Had stopped there on the way home from an awesome backpacking trip. Haven’t had a chance to look at it in daylight yet, but the quarter panel is ever so slightly dented. Any suggestions?

Pic from the trip. Was a little smoky but not too bad around where we went. Hiked to a lake and had the whole place to ourselves :)

I would go over it with some rubbing compound first to asses the damage. That will remove the paint you picked up and some of the lighter scratches. From there you can see how deep the damage goes and if you need to take a more aggressive approach.

So much of the Sierra is deserted once you get a few miles off the beaten track. I’ve had so many great hikes and fishing trips into the sierra’s and not a soul around.

Just added more pics. A toilet plunger might be too big! But yeah, looks pull-out-able.

The rear bumper and even the hood ( ) are already a mess from San Francisco street parking. * That’s*  why I can’t have nice things.

you need one of these boys, if there is a dent this will handle it.

True! So many lakes! And not many things to kill you.

I still think we were pretty lucky because it’s the peak of summer and many fires displaced travelers to places they wouldn’t have usually gone this weekend . Hiked there on Sunday and ran into a like 8 people who were leaving, were completely alone for 24 hours, then ran into another like 5 people going in as we were heading out.

but also... if you have a plunger... id still give it a shot... i mean its the vacuum  that pulls the dent largely.... it might just work

I would never live somewhere I had to park on the street.
